As you may know, our School Board has called for a vote on reauthorizing the current Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) to help fund our capital program. The election date is scheduled for May 24th, 2016 (with early voting now thru May 20). This one-penny education sales tax will fund improvements to our schools, build new schools, purchase more buses, upgrade technology and enhance safety and security.

With the vote just two weeks away, I want to make sure you have as much information as possible about this referendum for your review and to share with others if you so desire. You may find additional information on our Website, including an overview of SPLOST, a list of Frequently Asked Questions, a summary of the major technology, safety, and construction initiatives planned, as well as summaries of the improvements identified for each school community. Please feel free to share any of the information with your family, friends and others in Fulton County.

If you need more information or have a question, you may call the SPLOST Information Hotline at 470-254-3200 or

e-mail SPLOSTinfo@fultonschools.org.

Thank you again for all you do for Fulton County Schools.
