On Saturday, April 28th our Raider Track Team competed at the State Sectional Track Meet, competing to qualify for the state track meet in 2 weeks. Several of our Raiders finished in the top 8 and earned a spot in the state meet. In the 100M and 200M dash Preston Jackson qualified 7th and 3rd overall. In the 400M Jayla Mobley and Robbie Ruppell both qualified 1st overall in the state. Errol Williams qualified 5th. In the 1600 and 3200 meter runs Robert Chappell qualified 2nd
The varsity team celebrates after victory This past Saturday our qualifying Raiders competed at the final day of the Region Championship. The top 4 of each final event qualified to go the Sectionals this Saturday, then to pass on thru to State competition. What a great day for the AHS Track Team, as we swept the Region on the Men's side, winning 1st place with 143 points! The Lady Raiders also did very well in their events, and many came in as high finishers. Congrats to ALL

UPDATED at 12 noon: Yesterday our Raider Varsity Track Team competed in the first day of the Region Championship being held at Cambridge High School. The top 8 finishers from Wednesday's preliminary round advance to Friday's Final. It was a great showing for the raiders on the first day, with Several Raiders earned a spot in Friday's Final. This past weekend our Alpharetta track team competed at the McEachern Invitational in preparation for this week's region meet. The boys team placed 2nd overall at the meet. Our 2018 AHS Travel Meet at Myrtle Beach had an interesting meet over two days, with lots of competition! The first day the mens team had tied for 1st place. After the dust of competition and settled, the mens travel team finished at 4th place overall with 26 teams competing! The ladies were well represented by our own Jayla Mobley, who scored 2nd place in the 400 meters.
